Pregnancy Journey

We found out I was pregnant on Dec 1st 2009 at about 5 weeks. This photo is taken at 9 weeks on our last camping adventure. We were pretty excited but a little worried at the same time. We kept it a secret until I had my first scan at 13weeks which was pretty hard because we were dying to tell our loved ones. It became more real to us after this, once we knew the baby was developing normally. I hadn't had any morning sickness and wasn't showing at all. No tell tale signs at all yet.

I didn't really 'pop' like I thought I would. I was waiting and waiting, but it was so gradual. I so wanted to look pregnant. Then I started growing out of all my clothes :(
The time came to go and find out the sex of the baby, which there was no question about doing. We knew at heart that it was a boy and it was good to know for sure so we could start getting all the things we needed for him. We didn't choose a name or even have one in mind until the first week after birth. Here's a photo of him at 19 weeks.

Nothing really exciting or out of the ordinary happened during the pregnancy. The weeks couldn't go by quick enough, all I wanted was to meet my little man. He was basically all I could think about. I read and watched everything under the sun about pregnancy, labour and birth. And I grew, and grew, and grew.
I really enjoyed the whole time, apart from being so tired and drained. It was really special and exciting. The last 10 weeks, despite what everyone says, flew by for me. I don't know where that time went. This is the week before I was due.
